Jordan Lake Dragonfly
I saw this dragonfly on my last attempt to find the viewing area on the map. I never did find it, but I did find some great imagetaking moments. I guess there's a lesson in that somewhere.
New Hope Audubon Society Eagle Platform
I found this platform mostly by chance. Although it did not seem to be the one on the map I had, but I did see some large avians. I don't think they were bald eagles, but I am really no expert and they were pretty high up. I made the images anyway. I am sure you are not surprised.
Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church
While looking for the eagle viewing area, I drove by Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church on hwy 751 in Durham. I was struck by the gorgeous copper dome, but drove by. I stuck in my head so strongly that I made the next turn around, went back and took some pictures. If it catches your eye, chances are it'll make a good picture! in this case it was so.
Robeson Creek Canoe Access
I was talking to one of my friends about my adventure on the Haw River last weekend, and he suggested another access point not far away (thanks Rex): the Robeson Creek Canoe Access. I went down there today and made some images of the river and a young man fishing on it. I was a bit of a challenge finding good vantage points, but I think it was well worth the effort.

David Price Raises the Flag! (reposted)
US Representative David Price also presented Lowe's Grove Middle School in Durham with a flag that had flown over the Capitol Building. It was an emotional moment for me to see a US Representative help raise a flag over the school because it represented that the United States with all that was going on in the world, was aware of and watching over these children as well!

NC Legislators also in attendance (repost)
2 of our state legislators (Senator Floyd B. McKissick and Representative Henry M. Michaux, Jr. ) also made remarks, were very generous with their time and showed their support of the progress being made at Lowe's Grove Middle school in Durham . I thought it was really good sign to see the local school system so much on the mind of our elected representatives.
