İskender kebap

This dish is named after its inventor, İskender Efendi (İskender meaning 'Alexander'), who lived in Bursa in the late 19th century (from Wikipedia), but I prefer to think it is named after Alexander the great, so we have something in common!  It is thinly sliced Lamb over Pita squares with a tomato sauce and yogurt on the side. It is very good and if you get the chance to try it, I highly recommend it!

Ekmel shared lunch with me and suggested the place. She (and her mom) saved me when my CPAP machine went out!

This dish is made from Bulgar wheat, tomoto paste and pickles (I think) it is also very good, but further removed for other things I have eaten!
