One camera, one lens

I decided that since I had not picked up a camera for a few days (I have been busy with life things, and medical things, and organizational things and preparing for my trip to Beijing in January) I needed to take some pictures today. I also decided to take only one camera and only one lens and see what images popped up.   I chose mt Leica M8 and a Voigtlander 25mm lens.  I decided also to try scale focusing instead of using the rangefinder. It is good to practice these skills before you need them (I could probably use a little more practice!). Anyway, these were the images that caught my eye today:

Thanksgiving goes better with Leathers!

At Ryan and Michelle's we had a great meal and even better company! I even admitted to never having been a woman (when I get relaxed, I open up!).

I had a great evening and it was warming to my heart on a cold day!

Thanks, guys!

Crab stuffing and oyster dressing

At thanksgiving I went to Ryan and Michelle's and I decided to bring Crab Stuffing and Oyster Dressing. I had made the oyster dressing before, but the crab stuffing was a new twist on my old recipe.

I start by tearing up a loaf of bread, then add the package dressing as per isntructions (onions, celery) and then add the oysters and liquid or crab and chicken broth.

pretty simple...pretty delicious!

Anna at the reception

I only took one picture of the happy couple at the reception; I get drawn to the little stories overshadowed by the big picture. I think it was a story worth telling. I hope you agree!

Cheese Ball!

At work, the team that sits next to me had a cheeseball and asked me to take some pictures of it for them. I happily obliged. I notice however that they did not need my assistance in disposing of the cheeseball, but I think they enjoyed it well enough without my help!

Shravan's (and Genevieve's) Big Day

I have known Shravan for many years now, and I was never more proud of him than today. his choice of life partner and the way he carried himself today made me proud to be associated with him and honored to know him.

I will simply say I wish him a lifetime of happiness and companionship with his lovely new bride!

Well done, Shravan. Well done!
