Cash gets a Treaty Redux
Also for comparison I took some shots with a Leica Dlux4. I didn't try to take the exact same shots, because part of the difference in a camera is the shots that you are led to take with it. Viewing on a LCD screen is different then through a rangefinder is different then through an SLR, and I tend to take different pictures with all three even in the same environment. The D-Lux 4 is a great camera with a fast, sharp lens and I highly recommend it. Well... see for yourself (again, while it has a flash, I didn't use it this day).
Enjoy!
Cash gets a Treaty
Cash besides being a good boy is a pit bull- dachshund mix that I think looked like a Dingo and therefore used to call him "DingoBoy". I used mostly available light and let the film speed float as high as 1250 but also shot some at slower shutter speeds to capture the excitement that is Cash (especially when he gets a "treaty").
What a GOOD BOY!
Going to see the Broheim
Last Wednesday, after an eye doctor's appointment, I went to the local camera store to check out some lenses for my M8 and ended up with a 28mm/2.8 Elmarit that I needed to test out (how did that happen?). so I called up "the Broheim" and asked him if I could drop by and take some pictures. He cautioned me that he was not photogenic at the moment, but I told him it was his dog, Cash, that I wanted.

One25
the first set of images that I have to share are from a concert that never was. A local Band, One25, that contains a good friend of mine was playing at a restaurant in Raleigh. As fate would have it, there was a downpour that would have given even old Noah pause, and since it was an outdoor set, it had to be canceled for safety reasons. Although a lightning strike or it's aftermath would have made for dramatic pictures, I am glad everyone survived! the photos I took were of the packing up and milling around that always follows a gig.
The camera was a Leica M8 with a Summicron 50mm 1:2 (not that you care, just enjoy the images!)
Greetings!
I thought it was about time that I got around to sharing some of the images that I am collecting with my camerawork instead of just hoarding them on my hard drives! I also find that when I actually share them with others, I am more inclined to shoot more. So, in a sense, you , the readers, are my muse. Although, to be honest, I think that when something catches my eye, I want to take a picture of it, and sometimes, I am lucky enough to have a camera with me! So I hope that I can share some things that you might find interesting and that encorage you to come back from time to time to see what I am up to!
Thanks and have only good days!
