I went by this garden store on the way home... and these are some of the sights I saw.

The flowers were lovely, but I could have watched the Koi for hours!

There were Roses

These roses are from a bush beside my house. They are mostly dead now, and were on their way out when I took these, but I consider it almost a tribute to their former glory. As we get older we can see in our current selves a glimpse of what we once were. I hope I age with such grace!

Dandelion

I saw this Dandelion in my yard the after the tornadoes went through Raleigh.  It was a reminder that life goes on.

A late frost

We got a late frost in early April and it pretty much spelled the end of peach blossom time. Fortunately I got some nice images out of it, and the flowers were already fertilized.  I saw some baby peaches on the trees this morning, so all is well. Enjoy the Pics!

Evening light brings it's own kind of buzz!

I noticed the following day that pollenation had begun, carried out by those busy workmen, the bees. I did not have a macro lens handy and being allergic to bee stings, was not really sure how close I would venture towards them, but  I tried to capture some pictures of the bees instead of just the flowers. It was a challenge that I am not sure I carried out very well, but I am happy that I got some where they were recognizable as bees. I am also pretty happy about the whole "not getting stung" part as well!
