...and this is the end of my post for the CD release party. The gentleman at the end might also be seen in reflection in the window behind the drummer in the previous image as he was dancing as if to save his life (or convince someone to give him beer money). I thought I would share him with you as well. Thanks to all the bands for a great evening and a fitting end to a really good day! You guys ROCKED!

Brooks Wood (Part 4) in Black and White!

so after a while the battery on my M8 started to wane, so I switched over to my Leica D-Lux4 (which is an awesome camera in its own right) and soldiered on (I did go home and get the battery ,by the way, which was why I was late to Jordan Lee's show). I was glad I had it, because it has a feature that let me shoot black and white and color images (one after the other) with one press of the shutter). I thought the black and white images were stunning, so I felt you had to see them as well. Shooting clubs in black and white is a classic photographic genre and looks timeless.

Then it was time for the Brooks Wood Band and the people rejoiced! They put on a good show and gave the audience all they could handle! of course most of the audience were already fans, and he place was packed, so the energy was through the roof! I ahd a great time and it was the capper to a really good day for me. Now I am gonna shut up and let you see the images!

Fullproof

Last night also saw the Brooks Wood Band's CD release party at the Pour House! Opening up for them was Fullproof and Jordan Lee. I was running a bit late, so only caught the end of Jordan Lee's set, but he seemed to be doing a good job with the crowd, and was well received. I spoke to one of my friends in Fullproof briefly (who also plays in Brooks Wood) and took some pictures of their set. I especially liked the playing of their lead guitar player and their overall energy! The had the crowd in a good place for the headliners and certainly could have finished the night off themselves!
